By projecting illustrations created during the live performance by main visual artist Tomoyuki Washio, we were able to realize a rich and luxurious light-based visual presentation. The ceiling was adorned with installations by BENDer, giving birth to a live space where elements seamlessly blended together.

At the former ryotei Todobei, we held an art festival themed “Electric Crossroads,” focusing on boundary-free live performances where artists could spontaneously join and interact. I was responsible for planning, operations, and design direction.

A summer festival that creates a relaxed and inclusive space where people of all ages, nationalities, and abilities can naturally connect through music and come together as one. It fosters a community that embraces diversity and allows everyone to truly enjoy themselves. I was responsible for designing and building the festival tower (yagura) as well as planning the overall venue layout.

岡山県岡山市 at PEPPER LAND

This installation was created in collaboration with floral designer Yuji Ueno, centered on the theme of ‘cosmic creatures, satellites, and boats,’ combining organic and inorganic materials. During the day, visitors can appreciate the textures and flowing curves of the materials, while at night, projection and lighting effects give the objects a presence in the space, making them appear to breathe like living organisms. The work also incorporates Ueno’s piece, the ‘Bousou Hanaike-go’ boat, creating a fully immersive installation that evokes a sense of playful surprise.

I created an installation featuring organic lines formed from bamboo. At night, projection mapping by a fellow VJ was added, along with a collaboration with a candle artist. Blending seamlessly with the decorations crafted by other members, the entire space came together as a unified installation.

At the 77th Cannes International Film Festival, during the official CANNES NEXT society event “CANNES GALA,” I presented a live performance themed “In Praise of Shadows,” integrating light, shadow, and ikebana. For this piece—created to showcase new possibilities within Japanese culture—I was responsible for the projection and lighting design.

mhPROJECT_Nokogirini’s 2024 program, the site-specific collaboration project “The Beginning and the End, the End and the Beginning,” features an exciting improvised live performance by flower artist Yuji Ueno. This performance embodies a ritualistic transformation that concludes Keiko Miyamori’s project and transitions into Junko Maruyama’s project.

Responsible for visual and lighting production. The event took place at Higashi Betsuin (the Nagoya Betsuin of Shinshu Otani-ha), where local culture and musical creativity merged within the temple’s sacred atmosphere. This special performance was held as part of the "Church of Sound" Japan Tour.

Cultural Exchange Event at the Historic Ohashi House Centered at the Ohashi House—a traditional merchant residence built in the mid-Edo period—this cultural exchange event connects local shops along the historic Achi-machi Street, showcasing a curated selection of locally sourced food, crafts, and art. I was responsible for the botanical installation around the pine tree at the venue’s entrance. The design features locally gathered bamboo and Kaizuka juniper branches. In collaboration with glass art students from Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts, the installation expresses the serene waterscape of the Takahashi River.

Responsible for stage decoration and the creation of educational play equipment. The festival was designed at a perfect scale for both adults and children, featuring numerous family-friendly activities and workshops. For the stage decoration, I created a piece that transforms depending on the viewer's angle. In the center of the camping area, I built a custom jungle gym and swing set that offers endless ways to play.
